This February my husband and I celebrated 21 years of marriage, my younger daughter did much better than she thought she might in her exams and at work we launched a new website – a great team effort and a few years in the making.
So February has had its highlights.
Meanwhile in my parallel running universe, I managed to forget that March follows February and that February has only 4 weeks of training time.
So as I say cheerio to one of the darker, harder months of the year, I remember why the last time I signed up for a half marathon in March I said I probably would not make that mistake twice.
Actually I think I may have said at some point I was giving up on racing as it was sucking the fun out of running for me, but somewhere along the line I got distracted, or after a great run was feeling way too optimistic or maybe I had just had one glass of wine too many.
These are the tell-tale signs of impending race day…17 days and counting.

I’m sure you’ll do great!! 17 days is enough time for you to find your confidence. You know you can do it! You’ve done it before. Just try to relax and remember that you actually ENJOY running. Race or not! Good luck!
Thank you for your kind words, and nice blog btw:)
