Scotland in November can be quite hard work, as the residual autumn leaves give way to grey and Christmas lights are still in boxes. So as I do like a challenge – and to try and give dreary November some focus I had planned to take part in NaMoWriMo where the challenge is to write a novel in November.
This proved a challenge too far for me – although quite a useful revelation as I have discovered that I am not a natural fiction writer. This is quite a relief as it means I can strike ONE of those ‘things to do before I die’ off my list , and shift my energies to other life tasks.
I am glad to discover that I do not have a novel ‘in me’ so instead I will stick to wittering on about running, the weather and other bits of life’s gravel.
