This weekend I have been on a short trip around some of the UK’s finest cities – visiting relatives and taking our daughters back to university for the summer term.
In between driving and catching up with family, I squeezed in time for a short run. Friday was a bright sunny day and the Oxfordshire countryside is mostly flat, perfect for an easy run.
Cholsey is a pretty village near Oxford, and the author Agatha Christie is buried there in the local churchyard of St Mary’s.
The south of England has a soft and gentle landscape and I love the big skies and warm colours, the pubs and the buildings, and its softer climate.
